Overkill

Busy week. Bball Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday. Assignment due for philosophy. DC trip starting at 4 am Friday morning. I need to decide whether I should go to bed Thursday night or just pull an all nighter and sleep on the bus. Who knows? There shouldn't even BE a 4AM.

I felt pretty gross this morning so I stayed in bed until almost one in the afternoon. Which is nuts, I normally can't stay in bed that long but I felt like crap.

I currently have 3 full, unopened bags of Reese's Pieces in my room, plus one I still haven't finished.

At this point it looks like next year I will be living in Hoosier Court apartments. With who is the question. If it works out I'll be living with some guys I know that do Cru and that I am around a lot. If not then I guess I'll be living with Victor and a couple other guys I've yet to meet. We'll see how that turns out. Either way both of those groups of people will probably be in the complex so it may not make a HUGE difference.

For the record: There is nothing like Indiana basketball. It's insane, and we haven't even had a big opponent yet. The Big 10 season is gonna be awesome. Purdue is gonna be absolutely crazy, and I wish we played Kentucky here this year.

7 days until break, and I am more than ready. It's gonna be a really busy break though. Hopefully everything goes well, and then after that just 3 weeks till Christmas break. Plus I'll get a good Saturday when the Jazz bands come down here I'll go see them at Bloomington Jazz Fest. Last couple times seeing people was hit and miss. . . and caused some decent sized problems. But hopefully things will go well this time. Things seem to be on the right track anyway.

Things are going alright. Still frustrating at times, and occasionally I get that outsider feeling but we'll see with time. And of course there's still stuff that I'm dissatisfied with or want to be different. But there's not a whole lot I can do. Just be patient and see what happens with time.

^ That's right, I started 2 sentences with conjunctions. Deal with it English.

So 7 days until Goshen. Actually  at this time in a week I should be over halfway there. I'm quietly optimistic although I think I will be stretched. Max wants to hang out, maybe jam, I'd like to hang out with Kasey too. So there are at least 3 friends I need to make plans with. I don't know if there will be a group thing planned or not . . . and if  there is I don't know if I'd go. We'll see.

With basketball, classes, and stuff to do at Cat Palace and Hoosier Courts I think the next month and a half should go well. Time between breaks and between seeing people will be shorter. So let's see how it goes.

I can't get to sleep
I think about the implications
Of diving in too deep
And possibly the complications

Especially at night

I worry over situations that
I know will be alright
Perhaps it's just imagination

Day after day it reappears

Night after night my heartbeat shows the fear
Ghosts appear and fade away

Alone between the sheets

Only brings exasperation
It's time to walk the streets
Smell the desperation

At least there's pretty lights

And though there's little variation
It nullifies the night from overkill

Day after day it reappears

Night after night my heartbeat shows the fear
Ghosts appear and fade away
Come back another day

I can't get to sleep

I think about the implications
Of diving in too deep
And possibly the complications

Especially at night

I worry over situations
I know I'll be alright
It's just overkill

Day after day it reappears

Night after night my heartbeat shows the fear
Ghosts appear and fade away
Ghosts appear and fade away
Ghosts appear and fade away

  1. Glad things are going better! We all will be fighting for your time:) Remember change what you can change, accept that which you can't and pray for guidance to know the difference!
